„Living science“ – NUEREMBERG/FÜRTH/ERLANGEN. The „Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften“ with its numerous stands and offers inspired more than 30.000 visitors in total this time. The event took place for the sixth time and invites young and old to dive into the world of science for one night.
In this night the stand of the Department of Medical Biotechnology with the slogan "Three-Dimensional Printing for Biomedical Research" was a popular place of the 7-hour event.
xCell- Zellprozesse sehen & verstehen.
Since the housing and some built-in parts of xCell were created using the chair's own 3D printer, we were able to present xCell as a prime example of what you can create with a 3D printer and use for research purposes. Between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., the printer and xCell showed their skills and impressed the - according to organizers - about 700 inquisitive visitors / station. Good times!
